There are plenty of comments about them throughout this forum. Do a search using SBC.

Hmm... I just pulled up over 100 search results. To search, type in SBC where "Search for any terms or use query as entered" is ticked. Then tick "Posts" and click on "Search" for results.

Anyway, SBC is right there with all the other crappy recruiters/contractors. But are they crappiest of the crappies? Can't say. That 'honor' usually goes to EdEx, but others certainly are vying for the title!

So it seems!

I got an email from Qassim U for a direct hire position. I responded, but they never did. Seems I may have to wait for other direct hire positions to open up rather than go through a recruiter.

I grew up in SA and know the difficulties. Certainly don't want to add a horrible recruiter to the list.

SBC is a company that's had the contract at PNU for years and as far as I know there is no direct hire there. Policy may have changed though.

You would be probably offered a position to teach at one of their contractual assignment at some uni. They have just lost a big contract with Taibah University and they are relocating their Madinah-based teachers to other campuses such as Aarar. An extremely low level of job security, incompetent management and dishonesty are just some of the many typically distinctive characteristics of SBC.

I sent them an email cover letter and my CV today and they responded very quickly with a job offer without an interview and from a gmail account. Not a good sign.

I also tried searching the forum regarding SBC and it didn�t work. The browser was simply white and refreshing did nothing.

I typed in "Saudi British Center SBC

Chose "Search for all terms"

Chose the Saudi Arabia Branch on the dropdown.

I worked for them. While I was there I had a good relationship with the people in HR. Because of this I had no problems. HOWEVER, not everyone was s lucky. People didnt get paid. People have a 12 month contract but was told they would only get paid for 10. No end of service money and you will be forced to share your home with up to 3 women and maybe children.......
