Does anyone have experience with this company? They're in Southern China near Hong Kong: Zhuhai.
I copied the following from their web site:
F&S International Education is an American-based organization devoted to developing mutually-beneficial educational ties between the United States and China. We hope to promote understanding, familiarity, and cooperation in the fields of education, culture, economy, sports, politics, and all other scholastic pursuits. As Aristotle tells us that The fate of empires depends on the education of youth, F&S International Education aims to guide the fates of the American and Chinese nations to friendly coexistence in the 21stcentury through cross-cultural education.
Thanks. |

Well, just by reading that I felt F&S stood for my two favorite expletives. My first instinct was that it's better to find a school directly and not work for a company. It didn't take long to turn up some dirt on this company.
http://journals.worldnomads.com/avant-garde_chauvintist/story/14511/China/Evaluation-of-Frank-Sun-and-F-and-S-Education
It has a lot of dirt but the main thing is they bring people here on tourist visas which is THE mark of a illegal and poorly run operation.
If your a girl they will also try to get you drunk and bonk you it seems.
The first comment from the guestbook is:
"This is my story to a tee! I found out about F and S through the Fulbright website and assumed it must be well organized and legitimate. I was wrong. I too was met with poor housing conditions, confusion, and major visa problems. I wish I had seen this post before, but I got tingles up my back reading your story and realizing that Frank is taking advantage of so many unsuspecting Americans. Horrible!"
That seems to sum it up. |

That's good to know. I've worried recently about the drinking. I really don't like it and don't want to get stuck with party bosses! |

If it sounds too good to be true:
* A salary of 2,500 US Dollars per month.
* Western-standard accomodation (rent paid and unshared).
* Return airfare.
* Full medical insurance.
* A workload of only approximately twenty hours per week with no unnecessary time-serving office hours.
* All relevant legal paperwork.
But they appear to have a British AD, so maybe he'll be allowed and/or able to sort out the bad boss BS and make this island city dream job come true. |

I read that story posted by GeminiTiger and I read this:
Quote: |
During it they got so drunk that I was tempted to jump behind the wheel as they drove me back to the hotel I was staying at (I did not have an apartment at this time). Once we arrived (and I breathed a deep sigh of relief), Mr. Li invited himself up to my hotel room to rest. During this time, the drunk man lain on my bed while I was reading a book on the same bed. Needless to say, this made me very uncomfortable. I was not sure why the situation happened or what to do during it. My only comfort was that I was completely sober. |
I wonder what the book was? The one that usually comes in the hotel bedside table? 50 Shades of Grey? Women always calmly read books in bed when they have strange, drunken foreign men laying beside them. . . . |
