Hello all!

So I've recently accepted a job offer in Saudi and finally received an official contract and Sajal Tijari from an employer. The contract is in both English and Arabic so I'm assuming it's the real thing.

I'm trying to find info on what to do now/next as I don't think I want to use an external party to process my paperwork and all (I remember reading about it doing yourself on this forum, and it seemed easy enough).

Problem is, the search feature isn't working for me!

Can someone provide a link to a search for Visa on the Saudi forums only, or any helpful links/to-do list for where to go from here?

Also, should I be worried if the English side of the contract has my name misspelled, but the Arabic side has it right?

The Arabic wording on the contract represents the official terms and conditions. Although you didn't state what type of visa you're supposed to get, visa instructions for US citizens are on the Saudi Embassy's website: http://www.saudiembassy.net/services/ Best to start there than to look for detailed instructions on this forum. You can also easily find instructions on the Internet via a search using: saudi visa instructions us citizens.

All Canadians have a minimum 20-45 day wait period because they threw out some Saudi students from Canada and have claimed them to be linked to terrorists and hence have made a long wait period for any Saudi who wants to go to Canada. The Saudi embassies around the world have done likewise in their wait periods for Canadians applying for any kind of visa. My wife has to wait 20 days here in Ankara to get her visa from the Saudi embassy.
