Personally,I preferred the old board, butI may change my mind as I become more used to this one. This board seems a little "rigid" to me right now...the registering and all of that..... Sad

k.hit,

Your big thing these days seems to be unearthing and resurrecting old posts and adding relevant comments to them.

I'm not complaining. Personally, I find it to be a very interesting endeavor. Let's see what else you bulldoze up!

I remember the old forum. I've been posting since 1998. Glenski still went by Glenski. I don't recgonize anyone else, though.

I started in 2000, but back then I was Mao. One can't always be Yaramaz. I like the new boards better-- the old one was very confusing, with too many tangents.

Gee, Lynn, you make it sound like I'm an old geezer! Well, ok, I guess I must be, but... well, oh, forget it. I guess it's nice to be remembered. Very Happy

I posted under a few different monickers namely in the pursuit of collecting info on various countries. Le Chien des Neiges was the one I used just before I opted for France as my country of choice. As I don't intend to be snowbound forever, that handle simply had to go. Wink

That means I'm a geezer, too, if I remember you. I went by various names, mainly, Maria. You once answered my question very thouroughly about marrying a Japanese citizen. I kept it and printed it out. And whadya know, I ending up marrying that Japanese boyfriend in the end. haha!

Our Lynn has nae spaz
with this yaramaz
cos yaramaz is busy
playing her invisible saz
on the steppes of Anatolia
where there are no plagues of ebolia
where the mobsters cant roll ya
where you eat the sheeps whole, ya
But there aint no lynn on these steppes of Anatolia

Methinks perchance she walked away from Daves
to live in the caves
outside of Seattle
so that the cattle
dressed up for battle
with spears and a rattle
couldnt find her

Lynn, I promise not to tattle
lest the cattle find ye

Lest the cattle find ye Lynn
Lovely yaramaz shell take ya in
Shell save ya fro' the Moabite
And keep you fro' the Heathen tight
the rude hellenics hid fro' sight

its yaramaz what'll save yr skin
the night raiders do ya in
she'll take to her tent so full
and to her side she'll kindly pull
to keep ya warm an malleable
Far from the lites o' istanbul.

Shes yr mate sweet yaramaz
So listen to all she sez my lass

In yaramaz's fine felt yurt
kneeling soft upon the dirt
cattle skins lining the floor
their rattles and spears clatter unclutched to the floor
ye shall nae be hurt
dear lynn
for yaramaz offers shelter
a fine cuppan tae for the tired Lynn
recovering from what what dealt her
swabs of ointment for the cattle spear welts
that marr your fine pallid skin
wrapped in skeins of wool
pulled
softly from the sheep
of the Anatolian steppes
dear lynn
