I didn't teach it, but I designed one.
It included some stuff related to customer service (hotel front desk materials are pretty applicable) but added language for dealing with emergencies, making reports, communicating by hand-held radio, and telephoning.
Basically, depending on what they are guarding, security guards can get asked for a whole range of stuff similar to a hotel concierge, plus the more relevant-to-their-actual-jobs minor to major emergency stuff.
To start, I'd want to know in what context 'yours' are working - is it someplace they are likely to be dealing often with the public, or are their jobs limited to more security-related tasks mostly? |
