Hi everyone,
so I'm currently living in Rosario and looking for work. I have a liberal arts BA with a minor in applied linguistics, plus a 100 hour TESOL certificate. I have a lot of volunteer ESL tutoring on my resume and some experience teaching in Korea..
that said, I cannot find work here! I've been on the look-out for over a month. I've been to a couple English institutes and mailed my resume out, but haven't been offered anything so far. I'm finding that being a native speaker doesn't really matter that much, unless you're from the UK (I'm from the US.)
Right now, I'm putting up flyers near all the schools to advertise private lessons.. Has anyone else lived in Rosario and/or had the same problems? Is it this tough in other parts of Argentina, like BA? I really want to try and make it work here, but I have student loans to pay and I'm worried I'll never make enough to make my payments.
Any advice anyone could offer would be highly appreciated! Thanks. |
