I am a UK graduate interested teaching but currently have no experience.

I've done so research on schools in China and it seems EF is a popular choice for newcomers.
I'm wondering if there any other companies that can be recommended?

Any advice or information are welcome

Thanks

See the requirements for obtaining a Z visa first. That will answer a lot of your questions.

I've heard good & bad about EF so it seems signing on with them might be a crap shoot. My recommendation is to directly contact a university in whatever area you prefer. Uni jobs are IMHO the best way to start out & get familiar with things. They're low paying (depends on area) but generally honor their contract and in-class hours are relatively low (~18 hours/week). I've found kids to be great & school admin support to be adequate, though a lot of folks on this site will probably debate this. I guess a lot depends on what you want to get out of your experience. I was primarily interested in learning about Chinese culture & the job I took at Shengda uni in Zhengzhou, Henan, fit that goal to a tee.
