Don't fake it like that. Reviewers will see right through it so easily.

If you really want to write something about a research interest, do the research, find the journals in that field yourself, and read them. You haven't said anything here about what sort of research holds your interest, anyway, so we can't really provide any links to journals where you can copy/paste catch phrases/terms.

Gee, thanks. After you've accused me of cynical laziness and plagiarism I'm supposed to tell you what I am interested in? I'm going to assume your use of the royal "us" refers to only you and that you have not been appointed spokesman for he group. Others here might have something more helpful to offer than condescension.

Now hang on: Asking people to offer you some useful quotes and references, without telling them which topics they should pertain to, sounds just a touch superficial. Don't you think?

And knowing the leading figure does not suggest 'original ideas'. Neither does wanting to know the hot idea of the day.

One tip I will offer you. The latest idea in TEFL is usually one without any research evidence and which frequently proves to be worse than useless in the classroom.

A more positive tip: A book that is worth reading and is quite entertaining is Words in the Mind. This covers both linguistics and cognitive psychology. A weekend with it might be rather more useful than trying to cobble together a smorgasbord of modern trends, which, as previously suggested, will be seen through.
