I am 25 years old, I have my Masters Degree in Education and 1 year teaching experience in an elementary school in Connecticut. I really want to live abroad for a year or so to have an adventure and experience another culture.
What are my best options for teaching? I feel like I am over qualified to teach at some scam language school but not qualified enough for International schools. Any advice as to where to go for the best experience?

It would be helpful to know which countries you're interested in. Also, do you want to teach children or adults?

I would love to teach Children but I could do adults also. I would ideally like a Country where I can make enough to live and travel. I was thinking South America or Asia.

Asia all the way. Though I've no experience of S.A., a quick look on the forums will show the wages aren't that great.

You should research which country in Asia you would like to work at - they're all different.

For culture and money I would second the motion to look at Asia.

Skip the language schools. By and large you would just end up a frustrated, burnt out runner.

You probably don't have the experience to get into a decent "international" school ...

so that would leave looking for a private (k-12) bilingual or English program school. Remuneration packages can be decent, the job is what you expect (within the limits of the government mandated curriculum) and you will get your healthy dose of culture shock to go with it.
