|
|
I have been trying to figure out how much my school should be taking out and used this link to a tax calculator at chinajobs.com (something like that) but the link or page doesn't seem to work anymore.
Anyone have a link to a working tax calculator?
Seems my school took out 500y tax more in August then they did in previous months.
I will seek out answers Monday but I want to be prepared with correct info before I find the accounting department.
Thanks |

I've been having trouble with it as well. Keep trying, it'll come up eventually. |

This doesn't have a calculator, but it shows the formula for figuring your tax. Current as of June 2012. |
Damn - according to that chart they took out the correct EXACT amount of tax.
Thanks! And there goes my Monday argument.
BUT I see they taxed me on income PLUS rent allowance. I have to discuss that with them. |

scroll down....this one lets you download an excel spreadsheet. |
I must be reading the chart wrong , but I thought you took your total for the month and deducted 4800 and that amount is times 10percent not 20?
Example
12000-4800=7200x 10% =720-900 a month
my old fao even used his formula on his computer and the amount for that salary that should be deducted is between 800-900 a month?

Yep, you're reading the chart wrong. |
So is what my old fao told me incorrect? He used a spread sheet, I gather like the one posted and he told me for a 12,000 salary the amount would be deducted runs between 800 and 900 a month. My current employer did mention 20 percent , but after they did theri own crazy figures , they came up with around800 plus |

The reply I received is that they took tax out of the housing allowance and that it is correct. |
