So I am currently working online for a Korean company (an online hagwon, I guess) and it's my first real teaching job. I have a lot of tutoring experience, but this is my first real job since I graduated from Uni in June. I've been scouring the internet trying to find ideas that are good for teaching 1-to-1 classes via skype, but there really aren't many resources. I'm guessing this is because teaching through video chat is still a relatively new idea.

Is there anyone else doing this who can share ideas/success stories? So far, I've only worked with young learners (11-13 years old) and I've found it's very helpful to play lots of pictionary, charades and hangman using new vocabulary from reading articles.

There's a woman here on Dave's who taught lots of online courses> hollysuel, try PMing her.

Might also try posting on the Korean board since Skype lessons are more common there.

I know some people have platforms they work off of and can use PPT, etc.

Maybe role plays? Conversation topics?

Hats off to you though, teaching that age is hard enough in the classroom!
