Hi All
Has anyone had any dealings with SIST-Saudi Arabia? (SIST on behalf of Cardiff Met University - I'm sure that this is irrelevant fluff).
contract details:
11250 Saudi Riyals / Month-Tax Free
PNU
Visa and work permit will be done by Princess Noura University- KSA: quite vague-, and nothing stated about contact teaching hours.
Am I right in thinking to AVOID, I haven't been able to find any info on the forum / online about them.
Thanks in advance |

Isn't Uniservices running the PNU PY program? My advice is to avoid any other recruiters apart from Uniservices. |

Hi applepie,
I am a TESOL/TEFL teacher and I have also been selected by SIST to work at Princess Noura.
SIST is a Univ in Morocco.
I have signed on the job offer, why u shouldn't do it?? You do not loose anything at all!
Well, if you have got additional information about them, please let me know it.
Thanks |

Hi applepie,
I've been offered the same contract and am currently doing my research too. I'd be interested in anything you find, and of course will be happy to share.
Regards. |

FYI: That salary is low for someone with teaching experience. |

@nomad soul
Yes I did think the salary was a little low.
@shell b
I have decided against moving forward with this company for various reasons. |

I checked the link you provided and found the SIST ad for PNU. It's very odd that someone affiliated with a university in Casablanca, Morocco, is recruiting EFL teachers for an all-female, government uni in Saudi Arabia.
Coffee&ice, are you sure you want to sign on with them? At least, find out who the actual employer is (the entity named on the contract) before signing an employment agreement. Do your research before making this decision. |

Thanks for ur answer!
Well, they are the recruiters.
The contract will come from PNU. I don't think there is anything strange....I already have got the job offer signed by SIST and myself. Just waiting for the contract from PNU.
Staff members from SIST are permanently in touch with me and keeping me update. There is no money benefits...Of course I haven't payed anything, neither I have to..so, what would be the benefit for them? I mean, there is no point for them to waste their time selecting people for PNU as in the end teachers will be contracted and we do not have to pay anything at all.....don't u think? |

Legit recruiters are paid by the contracting company or employer. (Never send money to someone claiming to help you get a job.)
Anyway, I don't teach for PNU; however, depending on the visa type you're expected to get, you'll have varying up-front expenses that may be reimbursable. This would be a question for your SIST contacts. |
