Thanks, Sarge.
Nice to take a look at ourselves in the mirror... AND laugh. Thanks. |

'No, I'm not an English teacher. I work for an NGO. We sell hybrid electric vehicles to underprivileged children.'
So funny! I'll have to try that one as a joke just to see how fast they get it.
'What! You hooked up with a couch surfer?!'
Cute! Remember she had to be a couch surfer in the first place to meet up with one.
Yes, there are a lot of stupid native English speaking expats who act like that, which is why I never hung out with them. I can't relate to any of the things they were saying. |

I can . It's completely exaggerated, but it's satire after all. I've been guilty of saying and doing a few of the things on the video (wanting to kill a rooster, forgetting where I parked, not really interested in getting to know someone who is just passing through, speaking atrocious Vietnamese etc., etc.). While I personally might not have done all of it, I have met expats in Vietnam who I could all too easily imagine saying or doing what is left . |

Agree completely with Vabeckele - you have to be able to laugh at your expat self. Everyone else on the street is anyway |
