So can someone please tell us (...me). Suppose I want to teach a second or third year in China, but am not satisfied with the position I have,and want to move to another place, i.e., sponsor (?). Is that a problem? See, I'd probably be willing to endure a one-year contract no matter how bad the place, but what are my chances of finding a new job, getting a new sponsor and then moving off to another city where I might like the situation better(?). And could I just live like that, staying in China for a few years, and changing jobs every year or two? I could understand an annual trip abroad to get a new Z visa, but is that even ever done? I'm afraid China is a one-shot deal. Please inform.

As long as your contract has been fulfilled and you have time remaining on your Residence Permit, another potential future employer can transfer and extend it.
