Does anybody know what an "exit letter" is? The Saudi consulate is asking me for that before they give me an employment visa. I've never heard of such a thing. How am I supposed to have an exit letter before I've even started working?
It seems one can't deal with the Saudi consulate in a fair, rational, and professional manner. They ask for things without clarifying, helpful information. |

An exit (release) letter is for those who have previously worked in Saudi Arabia and finished out their employment with xyz employer. You would/should have gotten this document from said employer before leaving the job on final exit. (This is for iqama holders and not those on biz visit visas.) Without it, you won't be able to return to Saudi Arabia for employment purposes. |

Also known in English as NOC or LONO
No Objection Certificate
or
Letter Of No Objection
! quote from the legal advice page of the "Arab News" a couple of years ago. "This is no longer a legal requirement but is now required in some instances for adminstrative reasons."
Remember to study Lewis Carroll before you come here. |

Dear scot47,
Ah, you beat me to it:
http://forums.eslcafe.com/job/viewtopic.php?t=98985&highlight=letter+objection
As with so many other things in Saudi, it's not a legal requirement, but it may be a requirement
But since it only applies to those who have worked in Saudi before, Joese should have NO need (not to mention no ability) to produce one.
Regards,
John |
