Hi.
I'm looking for any Canadian Volunteer Agencies in Asia. Do you know of any? I've been searching everywhere and haven't come up with one Canadian.
Most are American or British. Along with teaching english overseas, I'd like to volunteer my time in these services
Any help would be appreciated. |

I would suggest forgetting about volunteering in Asia unless you are really madly altruistic. Most places where you would find work teaching english will pay you little enough that it would feel like volunteering.
Why just Canadian agencies? VSO has programs in Asia, and has a recruitment office in Ottawa. Check the Web.
As for arriving and looking for a volunteer job once here, it would probably not take long to find one on-site. Save the Children and other organizations are everywhere and would probably welcome your help. If China is your destination, maybe you should PM Rhonda Place via Dave's. SHe works at an orphanage. Maybe she can give you pointers.
Hope you don't mind me suggesting that Rhonda? |
