Is it possible? Do Tibetan colleges/universities hire foreigners? Are the appropriate work/residence permits issued for Tibet?
I have 20+ years ESL experience, CELTA, MEd TESOL. I haven't done any research on working in China because outside of Tibet I'm not really interested. I spent a year in the Tibetan community in Nepal and would like to reconnect, but this time from inside Tibet.
I did a search of the this forum, but most of the threads on Tibet are now several years old. Any one with more recent information?

Dunno about the TAR itself, but there are certainly jobs going in assorted Tibetan Autonomous Prefectures like Jiegu and Rebkong in Qinghai, and doubtless some other places in Sichuan, maybe Gansu.
Bridge Foundation had pretty much used to be the main go-between in the former area (with which I'm more familiar), but I don't know who the point people are these days. |
