Have you heard about this? They are making a movie with Cameron Crowe as Moe. The 3 Stooges fan clubs are up in arms. (Yes there are such things.) I agree with them. Why do we need a Stooges movie? What's next-Gilligans Island? Leave them alone. No I am not a member.

Whatever happened to originality??? Money grubbers..

Excuse me ---pass the hammer. Wink Wink Wink

I'm in China. Please refresh my memory...what does the word originality mean? Having read student writing assignments copied straight from "Chicken Soup for the Soul", I think I need a refresher course in the concept of "originality".

With any luck, if the movie gets made, it will be such a disaster that I'll never hear or read the name Cameron Crowe ever again. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

The true blasphemy would be if someone tried to do a remake of one the Marx Brothers movies.

Can you imagine "Duck Soup" with some of those loathsome catamites currently inhabiting Hollywood ?

There will be a live action Garfiled movie this summer. I'm not trolling.

We've had:

Scooby Do
The Braidy Buch (twice)
Spider Man
The Hulk
X Men
Every Saturday Night Live Skit Ever
A Crappy Sequel to Terminator 20 years too late
A Crappy Prequel or Three to Star Wars 20 years too late
Charlie's Angels
Ocean's 11 again
Dungeons and Dragons (done badly)
The Adams Family
Star Treks I, III, V, VIII, IX, and X (the bad ones IMO)
Lost in Space
Super Mario Brothers (I wish I was joking)
and many others

All movies made out of concepts that had been thoroughly explored decades ago. I'm leaving out Jackson's LoTR because it was actually done well.

What's next? Birth of a Nation? The Great Train Robbery? People Exiting a Factory(that 52 second short from 1895)?

in the New Yorker, I read an article that the Farley Brothers ("Something about Mary", "Dumb and DUmber") were going to do a 3 stooges movie, but its all in development...

Don't forget the lovely French film Three Men and a Baby, re-made as Three Old Washed-Up TV Hacks and a Baby

Is Nothing Sacred? Nyuk, Nyuk!

"If we're discovered, we're lost!" "You're crazy... if we're discovered, we're FOUND!" - Moe and Curly ("Back From the Front")"

"Our genius ain't appreciated around here... let's scram!" - Moe ("Movie Maniacs")

Regards,
John
