when using azureus I had the same problem went to the support forum and found out that ZA 5.0+ is incompatible. So I googled and found an older version which works just great. |

wylde, your usin za 5.1 free or the pro?
what are your upload and download speeds on bittornado?
and can you run ares(only place i can get raptor games by capture). friends run za and winmx without a hitch though. |

just free za
bit torrent speed is hard to define.. if there is say 3 seeders and 200 leeches you're not gunna get great speeds anyways.. i'm happy with 50KB/s either way at an average.. more is a bonus
i generally have between 5 & 20 files running on bit torrent and they can all run at the same time on decent speeds
i don't use ares.. i use winmx and bit torrent/tornado
i have a problem with winmx at the moment.. i'm on a dorm lan and the connection drops out for 30 seconds or so all the time and all my queues die..
bit torrent stays connected although it does stall every so often.. the problem has nothing to do with za though... the same setup ran perfectly in my old joint and everybody has the same problem here..
i don't know what to tell you... reduce all settings to the minimum, turn off all the security features of za and work your way up.. if you can't get anything running on za with minimum settings, superhero suggested running an older version of za.. maybe that could be worth a shot..
or try running a different firewall altogether
good luck pal |

I use Zone Alarm and dl from suprnova (and other sites) with no problems.
Open Zone Alarm and select Program control then the 'Main' tab to see what's going on.
Red X's mean that program is denied access. Left click on the red X and change the setting to allow. A green checkmark appears. Select always ask and a blue question mark appears.
Whenever any program wants access to the internet Zone alarm puts up a message window asking you whether you want to allow or deny access to the internet for that program.
I read that SP2 and Zone Alarm may have issues but I've not experienced any problems. Does this help? |
