| this is what i've been considering... but if we can take for granted that i'm going to just keep trying ten thousand possible combinations, i'd prefer for sheba to just give me the number. if it's not absolutely random, then i'll concede that i'm just not clever enough to get it. sheba, i'm waiting for your pm. |

HA!! Out of the Crimson Room!! (what a nasty escape it was, and I shall never reveal the unspeakable things I had to do to extricate myself)
The Viridian Room (<-- note spelling) was a snap. A snap for me, that is. For the rest of you, I can only hope you're playing the CD-ROM version. Because I hacked the online version and swiped a few items. Oh, and I also crapped in the fridge, so tread carefully. |

How many hours have you spent playing these games?
I'm sure it's nothing compared to your average Korean PC-banger, but... |

Hey don't get any funny ideas. Someone sent me it in an email attachment 2 days ago, so it's only a new obsession! |

Yeah? Well, you'd be forgiven if you happened to read just this post:

Deessell, is this new obsession and the time you apparently to have indulge it not wholly unrelated to CrazyLemonGirl's and other poster's anguish about foreign teachers having no classes to teach, but still being required to stay in Korea and sit on their, ahem, seats in empty classrooms? Kermo's found game websites to chew up her empty hours, and Grotto is watching every movie he wants to. And I'm sure people are spending more time on Dave's.
This is an aspect of teaching that I really wasn't aware of -- sitting in a classroom or office for hours and days and weeks with little or nothing to do. Now, part of me -- that would be the dark, cruel, sadistic part -- is giddy at the thought people being tied against their desire to a chair or an office, doing nothing for a seeming eternity. (Do you ever get the feeling your employers might be getting their Freudian kicks by that sort of bondage?) But that's only a very small part. The other part wonders what on earth a guru would do with all that free time, and I'd add the extra restraint of No Bloody Internet!
Imagine there's no Internet.
It's easy if you try.
Reading.
Meditation.
Levitation.
Writing letters.
Studying Portuguese.
Oh yes, and watching movies on DVD.
But it's only early July yet. Aren't children still in school? If not, then who are all those uniformed, screaming urchins in the schoolyard that I pass nearly every day? |

i've given up on the crimson room until someone gives me the combination to the lock. i can't be bothered going through all of the combinations... yet.
in the meantime, i've been in the veridian room, and i haven't found the sixth card with the chinese character on it. i seem to have misplaced the bedroll since i first acquired it. i hope it wasn't important. |
