I have been living in Korea for 10 months now and I want to start meeting people who share common interests with me. Before coming to Korea I worked as a chiropractor in many different countries. I also use to teach meditation and healing related courses.
What I would like to do is meet up with others once a month and do meditation and healing weekends as a non-profit group. In other words as a group we would share the expenses of the venue. Other than that no money would change hands. We could all share parts of out areas of expertise or do courses offered here in Korea together.
The main focus would be to make friends and help each other with our personal growth.
Is there people out there that would be interested in such a group? |

What part of town are you looking to set up in? It's been awhile since I have done the meditating. It was part of my curriculum going through a BFA in Theatre Arts-Acting. I would like to get back into it as well. If interested, I could host the event at my academy, we have plenty of space, a large Auditorium for the low, low price of 0 won. (actually, just a really big room in the basement) I am almost certain that I would be able to use the space, but would need to clear it with the events manager, as far as when it is being used for other events. I am located in the North east part of Seoul, in Junggye Dong. What say you? |

I'm definitely interested in doing some meditation! As soon as it's set up, please post where and when ASAP. |

Cool if you can get that venue on a Saturday between about 11 and 6 that would be great. Is that an easy part of Seoul for people to find? I was thinking we could just set a date and people could show up and the first time could be casual.
From there we could set up some events based on people interests. I was thinking also a temple visit in the future might be intersting as a group. I have not had a chance to look into any of the Korean zen styles or anything. |
