Well, although I agree with "lover.asian" (if that is his REAL name!), I'd like to be a bit more welcoming. Some people forget how clueless and timid they might have been when they first started the search. But he's right (sorry if you're a 'she').

This subject is covered on a weekly basis. If you have specific questions don't be afraid to post.

Good luck!

My ECC..

Pros

- A lot of foreigners to hang around with.

Cons

- Poor pay considering the long hours
- Feeling of just being another cog in the machine
- Profit oriented management.

I found it is hard to care about the children in ECC but easier to party than my current job.

There's a world of difference between working in the city and the countryside.

What do you want out of your time here?

My first year was at an ECC and the biggest complaint I have would be that I had to worked Saturdays. I have never had to work on Saturdays in Korea since. I feel I really missed out on a lot since there were a lot of opportunities to do things with the adult students and parents. I have never been in a town where there were these opportunities since. There was structure and I consider it a good place to "pay your dues". But for one, and only one year.

f that man, if its ecc uijeongbu then NO WAY! Pay your dues? Pffft! I call that wasting a year, there are too many good jobs out there, or at least decent ones. if getting ripped off, lied to, taken advantage of regularly, basically being served sh*t and somebody calling it dinner is "paying your dues" then go ahead, but I'll pass.
