any other experiences with them? Search button isnt working. Teaching adults 1:1 sounds great..but I've heard so many bad things about YBM.

Are you talking about YBM ELS in Jung-ang dong/Nampo-dong, Busan? If so, run like the plague!

But to be fair, I was there 3 years ago, it may have changed. A while ago I checked its website out of curiosity (hey, it was a cold winter) and noticed that my completely useless Korean head teacher was no longer there. But the problem was the boss, the most incompetent *beep* I've worked for in my 7 years here. I can't remember his name sorry (too painful, I blocked it out! Laughing ), but ask how long the current boss has been there. If its longer than 3 years, forget about it.

If not, it may be okay. I still had some issues with the Saturday teaching, lack of holidays and other things which I can tell you more about, but if you deal with and/or are aware of these things before you sign then it could be a good place to work. That was the frustrating thing when I was there...it could have been a great place but for a few individuals which made it unbearable.

I did a year with YBM and it was ok. The pay arrived on time every month and the staff (Korean) were easy to work with. The adult students can be as troublesome as the kids at times. At times, some of the foreign teachers were real pricks. This always occurred during the first week when schedules came out.
