				| I posted this link this morning and a few people added some other funny album covers, but the thread got pulled. Pretty sure it was the 'My Kittycat Belongs to Daddy' one somebody posted... Anyway, got any more funny album covers, good people of the ESLcafe?

That was me. But I did cut the offending part out, didn't it? Sometimes the policing of this forum just baffles me. OP, if the word "kittycat" is enought to get a thread pulled, this thread will die soon as well. Hey, there's a freaking "Metal Mammory" and "Happy Dog" mentioned in those covers... and the dog looks ugly, too.

It's a pretty craptastic album too. I really like "Going For The One" though ^^

				| Yes, I agree. It was a strange feeling that I decided on my own, that this record was unremarkable. The first clue was there weren't any Roger Dean faeriescapes. The music? 1978? I think I was hating disco then. Yea that was more important.

1978 was a poor year for progressive rock. The effects of punk were destroying the genre and every main prog band was putting out lesser caliber stuff than before. The end of VdGG was around 78, "Love Beach" by ELP and a less than stellar effort by Genesis with "And Then They Were Three" which is worse than "Duke" and "Wind & Wuthering" ^^ In addition a lot of prog acts were dying off and disbanding. The ones that survived had to adapt and embrace new wave or perhaps even get involved with post-punk.

Yes, I agree. I'm glad they haven't pulled it yet though: the world needs to see 'metal tit.'
