Being offered a sweet deal at a public school on Anyang Street (Line #1). Is this Seoul or considered Anyang City?

(Yes I did do a 'search' but this information was not easily available)

Either way what is the area like?

Are there good stores in this area?

All help is appreciated.

Thanks

I've never stopped in that area. It's not central Seoul and it will take you about 40 minutes to get to big hangouts like Hongdae or Gangnam.

Is your contract with SMOE or another office? That's one way to tell if it's in "Seoul."

Anyang is a decent city. It is similar to Seoul for access to businesses and that, but a little less crowded and a little cleaner.

He's right about transportation time, tho. Anyang is about 30-40 to most parts of Seoul, and also to Ansan and Suwon, a couple more suburbs to the south.

Overall, Anyang is pretty decent.

I just got here three days ago. The area is really cool to me. There's anything you want but I haven't found any other westerners but I haven't really been looking either. I climbed up a mountain yesterday then walked down to the middle of the city all within two hours.

Cool Anyang people! It's a nice place, a bit out of the way, but not too far from all the action. I'm right by the Seoul-Anyang border, it's about a 40 minute subway to Yongsan, and about 45-50 minutes to Seoul station. You're also really close to Suwon, that's a happening place and has some good historical sights.

PM me any Anyang people that want to hangout, I'm rather secluded.
