Hello everyone,
I have switched employers and will be leaving Korea for a summer vacation in Thailand and will be gone for 3 months. While I am gone I will not have an apartment.
I need to know where there is a safe place around Seoul to store some things (including a computer) until I return.
If you know of a storage facility that I can trust please post it with telephone number (if they speak English) and cost, and give directions on how to get there.
Thanks very much!

I have been saving / cut and pasting/ various stuff on this topic. Here is some of the things I have saved. Note: the "I" in this is not me; I copied the info.

Storage facilities
From Galbijim
Storage facilities in Korea are quite varied but most do not cater to foreign teachers or other expats considering the relatively low amount of possessions owned by foreign nationals living in the country for only a few years compared to the average Korean who has been in the country their whole life. Those that know Korean may make a search with keywords such as 이삿짐 (moving luggage) 보관 (safekeeping) / 창고 (warehouse).
If you plan on using storage facilities in Korea for short or long-term use, you have a couple of options available to you.
1. Moving companies, Moving companies often can charge you rates for short and long-term storage needs. They are also useful if you have a lot of stuff, as they will send staff over to move the items. Some moving companies:
Seoul
 Allied 02-796-8703
 Shinhan Express. 2695-2000.
Samyong (삼용물산 - costs 25,000 won per month for 1.5 pyeong (53.38 sq. ft) of storage (1.5 pyeong is the size of a goshiwon room). When paying with cash a year (300,000) must be paid in advance, with the rest refundable upon return. There is some extra cost in getting luggage both picked up as well as packed, but for a person who is willing or able to do this themselves by bringing the luggage all the way to the storage facility in the county of Pocheon.

3. Goshiwons. Renting a goshiwon is useful if you don't have furniture to contend with and you are only dealing with boxes and luggage. Although the cheapest of goshiwons start at around 200,000won/mnth, try to find a goshiwon that will discount due the fact that you will not actually be living there.
Just contacted Allied movers for a price cos I also have stuff to store for a few months. They quoted me a fee of $12 per month as well as a once off fee of $15. Hope this helps you! |

Don't mean to hijack... but does anybody also know about companies that ship stuff abroad? I have more stuff than I can lug down to the post office but not a house full. |

Thanks for the reply.
Are there any specific ones around Seoul that you can give directions to? I don't read or speak Korean so it is very difficult for me to find a place.
Thanks |
