I'm serious.
My cupboards are empty. And I have only 20,000 korean won. With exactly two weeks until payday.
Practical advice please. Feel free to get specific.
(It's a funny yet sad situation.) |

I'd suggest instant noodles, or a bag of rice. |

you can buy pork in store.
a big bag is only about 3,000.
cook it and then mix with a little bit of rice.
.....wait i got another idea....just buy 20 bottles of Soju and drink yourself silly. |

You don't want an ascetic's diet? Rice, rice, rice.
I'm sorry.
You might be able to do cheap cereal for breakfast (1 box 4000 + milk 3000)
Noodles for lunch ( 500*14=7000)
Dinner is rice and eggs. (30 eggs for 3000, rice?)
Get an older Korean friend. |

Is that also how Koreans afford to live in Kangnam Gu?
Recipe for success. |

Drink yourself silly = stay at home in bed (or in the bathroom). Which equals not being able to eat. Which means not spending any money.
This may also mean getting docked in pay, but a break's good every now and again, hey? |

Okay. Some instand noodles or rice (whichever is cheaper).
Some tuna and eggs (good for protein).
Some pork? (Is it really so cheap? I'll see.)
I'll check out the cereal but it doesn't usually seem so cheap, and an average size box wouldn't get me through a whole week, let alone two. So 7,000 for a week's breakfast is too much I think. I'll double check.

I have a bottle I think I'll save for one of those darkest nights between now and payday.
I've accepted an invite to go to a Korean guy's place on Saturday, so I'm set until Sunday. "More gimchi please... Oh, this is the best rice... Sure I like eating fish heads, pass it over." |

Make pancakes in the mornings and pasta at around 3pm. Drink water in the daytime to get you by.
Or borrow money from a friend. |
