when yu have worked in korea a while and then returned home, yu will find people will ask yu about working in korea and seek advice about finding work there.
a friend of my daughter recently asked me for just such advice. he is holding in his hand a contract from Deokso Wonderland in Namyangju, Gyeonggido.
now, the name wonderland is legendary on the blacklists and i told him so.
i wonder can anyone here enlighten him further about the chain, or if anyone knows that specific school. i'll give him a link to this thread and encourage him to join the forum. |

Tell her not to even bother with Wonderland chain. The risks are just too great that she'll end up getting screwed. |

wonderland is definately the easiest way to have 365 days of your worst nightmare come true. Don't even think about it! |

Just out of curiosity, why would your wife's friend even consider wonderland after seeing what those who worked there had to say? My wife worked for them a couple years ago, but that's only because she used a recruiter (first mistake) and did no research. If you are smart enough to figure out google.com you should be smart enough to get a great job. |

he is new to this.
he's not my wife's friend, he's my daughter's friend. i hardly know him. i met him one day and he told me he was planning to go to korea to teach english. i gave him some general sort of advice and my email address in case he wanted to get in touch.
then i got an email telling me he was thinking of signing up to wonderland. it rang instant alarm bells for me, but, not having any specific knowledge of the situation at wonderland i thought i'd post a thread here and on eslcafe.com
this is his first job. i thought it would be good to hear what others say about wonderland. i hope he is reading this. |
