Hey Everyone

My contract is up at the end of November and I'm not renewing at this hagwan again. The town is just toooooo borrrrring. Anyway I'm starting to look for a future job (already have resume out on this site). Wondering if anyone knows a good recruiter or a good school that has a vacancy around that time.

Thanks

you know, i don't know if it would be kosher to recommend a vacancy on this forum...i haven't checked the FAQs on this, but i would imagine it would be contrary to this board's rules. You see, if everyone just posted jobs on the forums, dave wouldn't be in business.

I'm not trying to be smarmy or anything...i'm somewhat curious if doing this is okay myself. Anyway, good luck.

I am probably just having a bad day, but could anyone PM me and tell me of any jobs here (just doing research now) that involve teaching at a university to (cough cough) "good students"?
Regrettably, I don't have a master's degree, nor am I TEFL certified yet, but it'd be good to know what my other options are for later on...or am I stuck, because of my credentials (or lack thereof), teaching lazy unmotivated students for the rest of my career? Ugh...it just gets to me how little work these students want to do...

Katy, many kids spend hours and hours in hogwans, not just the short time you may spend with them. I would hardly call them lazy, also it is your responsibility as the teacher to motivate your students and make the classes interesting. This is not meant as an attack on you or your teaching skills, simply a reminder.

And how, pray tell, art thou supposed to achieve this when "deviating from the given curriculum is FORBIDDEN". (non-conformist teachers sent directly to Pyeonyang).
