I don't have teaching experience or TEFL training and I'm having trouble deciding what to put on my resume. Most people say you're only supposed to inlcude job experience that relates to the job you're looking for. However, my job history is primarily cashiering and waitressing. But inluding my full history does show that I have been steadily employeed for 10 years (since I was 16). I've been at my current job for almost four years, and since it's a management position that involves training personnel I feel it is also the most relevent to teaching, but I don't like the idea of having only one job listed on my resume when I've had several jobs, for 1-2 years each, and did well at all of them.

So the upshot is: should I only include my one semi-relevent job, or include more irrelevent jobs to show I have a steady job history?

You are 26 years old and female. You are over-qualified as far as 9 out of 10 Korean employers are concerned.

You will have no problem finding a job, regardless of what you put on your resume.

Really.

Attach your best picture to your resume.

State your Date of Birth.

List college degree(s).

List Jobs and Titles that you like.

Use your management training experience as teaching experience.

Under job descriptions, use the words "instructor" and "taught" and other educational lingo.

I also recommend going to your city's employment or job resource center (assuming you have one). Someone will sit down with you and help you define and refine your resume.

I hate to say it, but 9 out of 10 times a good picture is better then a good resume.

If you look "good" and have no experience, usually you will get hired faster then a person who has a ton of experience and does not "look good."

Oh, "Our kids will love him/her. He/she is handsome/pretty"
"He/she must be good teacher". "He handsome, she pretty".

I said USUALLY. There are a few schools that will hire you based on your qualifications.
