This is a looonnnngg shot, but...
Yesterday, Saturday afternoon (Dec. 30th), my wife and I left our Samsung Miniket in a taxi. Of course, neither of us remembers the taxi company, nor anything special about the taxi or driver.
My wife has contacted the 'taxi union' in this area, where all the private taxi's report in, and she's also found an online Lost & Found page for stuff left behind in taxis. She's also contacted the Samsung Service Centers in the area, asking them to be on the lookout for anyone trying to pick up a power cord for a Samsung Miniket (gave them the serial number).
As far as I can tell, we've done everything we can. Now, it's up to fate. Not terribly optimistic, but more than anything, we're pissed about losing the video of our son opening his presents on Christmas morning (hadn't had a chance to upload the video to the computer yet ).
Anyone with suggestions/ideas on what else we could do, I'm all ears.
Thx!
P.S. There's a 100,000 won reward for any info that directly leads to us getting our camera back... |

Good luck. I got drunk in a park one time playing soccer and forgot to get my camera. The next day it was gone, of course, and even though I posted up numerous signs offering a reward, it never came back.
So I feel your pain. |

I once left my Seagul S- 6 Acoustiv guitar in the trunk of a cab. I got it back 3 months later.
I left my Pocket PC in a cab and I got it back 3 days later. There is some hope.
Contact the police where you were both picked up by the cabbie, along with the place where you got dropped off. Also, ask Samsung if there is any GPS device in the camera, you never know.
Best of luck and we will be hoping and praying that you get it back. |

And if anyone in Incheon comes across a coat with say, a couple thousand dollars in the pocket, let me know. It's my new co-worker's. Thanks much. |

Just to give you some hope:
When I was in Busan my co-worker left his wallet twice in a taxi and twice he went to the local police station and got it back because the taxi drivers handed it in on both occasions |

I lost my wallet some drunken night, gawd knows where in Incheon. Reported it to the police. Police mailed it to me two weeks later, minus the cash of course. I was chuffed. Pain in the ass that I'd already reported all my cards, but it saved me a trip to immigration. |

Seriously? I would think the owner would know about this. |

Some Ruby's Minis will help you get over your pain, eh.
Go to the Yonsei University Hospital area, Floridian, and ask for "Die." He's the General Manager, and is a smart and pleasant guy who lived in New Zealand for many a moon. |

Thanks for the suggestions and words of support.
We tried contacting the police through a Lost and Found page we found on line, but there were no answers. I assume that was because it was a holiday weekend (at least, that's what I'm hoping). We'll try again today.
Again, not overly optimistic, but gonna try everything we can... |
