| I have a question, is it ok if an English teacher has dual nationality. Is that an issue with the immigration? |

| Why the hell not? I am a dual citizen of Canada and the U.S. Just don't whip out your passports in front of them. Anyway, how on Earth would they know? |

| well im half persian and half american and due to some reason my son was not able to collect his american passport yet, I have to register him with a persian passport. I hold american pass my wife holds malaysian pass and my new born will hold persian pass. would that be a problem with the immigration? will they give his ARC? |

I have no idea. If you have to use an Iranian passport, then I suppose you will have to register him with it. It may confuse them. I have no idea. Are you an English teacher? This is not a typical experience of English teachers, so it is hard to answer. There are Iranians in this country. I suppose as long as you can prove he is your son, then I would think there would be no problem. That is just my guess. |

| yeah I'm a teacher, I graduated from university of Hawaii and lived in Dallas all my life.....due to some new laws my kid is beeing denied american pass....its bull but true.....I just hope next year I will not have any problem renewing my contract since I love my school and korean life,....thanks for your help.... |

| Wow, an American teacher with a Malaysian wife and a Persian kid. That will be a new one for Korean Immigration, I think. |

Any one of those things would confuse the hell out of an immigration worker.
When you go bring a camera and take pics. Post some pics of the immigration worker's head smoking due to brain overload. |

| I'm an Aussie/Brit passport holder and have had E2 visas on both. I'm married to an Indonesian and we have a kid on the way. Immigration can usually cope with these anomolies. |

| The answer to your question is this , no , dual nationality is not a problem if you have a passport from a country that Korea recognizes as an English speaking country and your university degree is from same. Everything else on this site is BS. |

| If you have the proper documentation than your child will be given your citizenship when you present the documentation to your embassy. I have several children born overseas and they are United States citizens. |

Were you married in the US or in one of the countries you had mentioned?
If you have an American marriage certificate, then nothing else matters when bringing your wife over. But if you don't, that can raise some problems (I know b/c it took me some time to convince them my ex-wife was in Korea to be with me at the time [chinese])
Then once you come here and are able to bring your wife and child over, go to the US embassy in Seoul and start the paperwork to get your child his citizenship. I have found the embassy might be more understanding if it is in a third country.
You CAN still petition your child to become a citizen. |
