For a new year's present to myself, I think I am going to see what the WOW thing is all about, but I haven't seen it at the dept. stores. Can I download it, or do I need the discs? Can you recommend a good website to buy it from, since I don't really have the time to go to Yongsan?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I assume you mean that WOW is World of Warcraft.

If I am wrong, please forgive my ignorance at your acronym

I have seen the the World of Warcraft box set in HomePlus, E-mart and Lotte Mart in the book sections.

But those were most likely the Korean version, which I don't think will be much use to the OP.

Yeah. You have to buy the American (or European) version, and you do need the discs. The only place I know to buy it in Korea is Yongsan.

No you don't. Just download the free 10 day trial from the WOW site, after the ten days you then need to pay subscriptions.

The post above is correct. I did this and just started playing about 3 weeks ago.

Go to this link
http://www.fileplanet.com/163517/160000/fileinfo/World-of-Warcraft---Trial-Client

You'll have to register to fileplanet, but it's free. You download the client and they email you a trail cd key. When you install the game, you'll have to enter a credit card number, even though the first 10 days are free.

If, after 10 days, you like the game, you just click on your member options and upgrade to full member. They will charge you about $25 american on your credit card for the game.

Make sure you sign up on an 'oceanic' server for lag purposes. It's mostly english speaking people who live in east asia, and australians.

Word of caution:

WoW is quite addictive imho altho it's lots of fun. Just a little warning before you begin your quest in WoW.

Question at this point is how are we getting our hands on the Expansion that is being released in less than two weeks?

Does anyone know of any other places in the Seoul area to buy Mac Universal games in English? I would be interested in the digital download option too. I'm dying to get my paws on a copy of Quake 4. I'd try WOW, but I'm not into the monthly fee, especially during intensives in January when I wouldn't have a chance to play!
