| For those of you who have Thai wives/girlfriends back in LOS, when you send money to Thailand do you send it straight ...SKW - THB or SKW - $ - THB? I always send it straight SKW-THB but, is this the best? I always thought it was the same. |

I send $500 to my Vietnamese gf each month.
She helped me to buy some real properties (Land and apartment) in Vietnam. I invested around US$X00,000. Kinda nervous about the investment because everything is under her name since foreigners cannot own anything there so I have to kiss her ass alot. |

| I gave my wife a Kookmin bank card and she withdraws the money every month, this seems to be the cheapest system. |

I'm lucky that Vietnamese Dong has been relatively low against US$. In fact, US$ has strengthen a bit against the Dong. |

I'd be worried about that as well if you're not legally married, the parents/clan might think as a foreigner they got an easy mark as if they screwed over another Viet they would would have to expect retribution a the end of a gun barrel...same in Thailand. |

Yeah, but I met her at the orphanage where I used to do some volunteer work. She is an orphan and works at the orphanage where she grew up. She has no family. I feel safe betting my investment money on her. |

I would put my money anywhere other than with a Vietnamese gf. You would probably be safer sticking in down the drain.
