Anyone else peeped this?
I guess, on the WE other many males would have been forced to sit through this nauseating dross. I did see people crying and can only wonder how this cliche ridden fantasy can elicit such a response... |

| I take it he means this. And while I'll freely admit I love watching these sort of movies I wouldn't expect to watch it with a man for the same reason I don't watch sport with him - because it makes an otherwise pleasurable activity excruciating. |

Oh, the movie. Already two of my students have told me about this movie, which I'd never heard of from anywhere else. For some reason it seems the Korean name is "Romantic Holiday."
It sounds like justification for suicide. |

The girlfriend dragged me to that. Made me throw up inside my mouth. I don't think I've ever had my intellegence insulted that badly at a movie.
Still, it's an argument for lynching producers, not misogeny. |

Ugh!!
Got dragged to that movie too.
Cameron Diaz looks like my gran, Jude Law looks like his face is going to fall off, Jack Black looks like he ate too many chilli burgers but can't find the toilet, Kate Winslet does her best Bridget Jones impression but ends up looking like my haggard aunt hit with a shovel. And why did they wake Eli Wallach from his grave for this crap, let him rest in peace.
Those shots of the cottage and it snowing, what was the director on? FYI, it never snows at xmas anywhere near London. God, how long was it?
And what's with the 'I'm from London I'm in publishing/journalism' and 'I'm from LA I'm in the movie industry.'
Damn that movie, I am ashamed to have seen it and invite all Dave posters to take a pop at my stupid head with your own choice of clay oven bricks. |

i normally don't mind this genre but couldn't believe how contrived and blatantly manipulative this was
it's interesting that others also picked up on how poorly shot the thing was |

Slate has an article about how Jack Black is wasting his talent/potential on drivel.
Bought tics for the Holiday, but didn't go due to New Year's Day commitments with the inlaws. Sounds like it was a blessing in disguise, although I usually enjoy the cheese fests like Love Actually, Notting hill, etc. If it is on the level of You've Got Mail or Runaway Bride, then pass the barfbag. |

Totally agree. His best part so far was when he got sliced in "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer". He plays dead fairly well!! |
