Hey guys,
Just got off the phone with a Bank of America rep.

If you have a Bank of America account, according to the rep, there's a BOA outpost in Seoul:

#1 jangkyo-dong chung-ku seoul
01182-272-94500

Hours:
M-F 9:30-4:30 pm
S: 9:30-1:30 pm.

Hope this helps someone.

Daniel

Praise the Lord! DO you know if I can make an account with them here that will still be good when I return to the States? Is the phone number you listed for an English speaker? Thanks so much!

Peace

I haven't been able to get through on that number, has anyone else?

Edit: I just had someone at home call BofA and they said there are NO banking centers in South Korea.

Do they do personal banking or just commercial for companies, loans and investments? I think the latter, since they do not have branches in Korea.

It would be convenient if they did personal banking, since I already have an account with them.

When I was in the States I called BoA up and they said I could take money out from any China Construction Bank ATM in Korea without extra charge, but I've never seen one around. I went to the main CCB office in Korea by Gwanghwamun and while it was the right bank, they looked at me funny and said sorry when I said I wanted to do banking through BoA with them.

I chatted with a BOA rep through their website and he stated that there are no BOAs in Korea at this time. Appears to be some conflicting information. I hope it pans out...

Dang,
Didn't mean to post misleading info. Confused

I checked the BoA website, and it doesn't look like there's a place in Seoul after all. I haven't had a chance to call the number as I don't leave for Korea until a few weeks.

Altho, if anyone gets thru with that number, it would be great if you could share.

Daniel
