I saw my first Korean midget last night. Unfortunately, I didn't have a camera. I should have bought a camera phone. Embarassed

There's a Korean dwarf who hangs out at Jongno 3-ga Station. He doesn't look too happy.

Would that be the one in your avatar? Wink

Anyway, in Korea it's all relative. (Indeed, some would have you believe they are also all relatives, which some others would have you believe is right but in the worst way, while the rest of us would have you believe something more conducive to our own self-gratification, thanks. Very Happy )

I used to have a physical therapist who was a "little person." It's a common career track for them in Korea.

That the hell is a matter with you? You wish you had a camera? Then you wonder why they treat us like circus freaks...you must fit in well.

I've seen him hanging around my neighborhood.

Guy looks hardcore. I wouldn't mess with him... If I were the sort who'd mess with a midget.

sneering at someone's size or shape is no different from racism...

you should take a look inside yourself...

and grow up!

Who sneered?

Obviously, I'm not the one who needs to grow up.

A few years ago my school went on a picnic to citizens woods near Yangjae. We had about 150 kindy kids there. On this particular day, there was a mass Korean wedding at the park, about 25 couples. All of the couples were midget couples. The men in tuxedos and the women in white wedding gowns. It was so surreal and cute.
The kids went ape scat. Im not talking giggling hear. Were talking full out laughter, screaming, pointing, hooting. I felt bad for the midgets, but the Korean staffers/teachers didnt see much of a problem with this, and I didnt think it was my place to stifle korean culture/behavior.
