I'm planning to buy a HDTV so I can play my Xbox 360 in glorious high definition.
Will it be a worthwhile purchase?
What should I expect to pay for a 25 to 32 inch TV? LCD or PDP?
Where is the best place to buy this?
Thanks for any responses. |

Surprisingly, Homeplus had great deals when I was there, and a really good selection of models in stock on the floor to look at. A couple of the staff members were truly helpful (not just sale-hungry) and knowledgable. I can give you more details later, but my 32" LCD was 1.15 mil, and the wall mount was another 100k.
I don't regret it at all. |

32" size is no a commodity in LCD manufacturing world. Manufacturers distinguish themselves in larger sizes and play a "war" there. 32" is a good value now.
Do not get PDP though. Modern LCD is same or better and no dealing with high energy consumption, heat (and removal of it) and lamp. High energy consumption may be an issue if you have tons of power cords connected to each other since apartments here lack sockets for 2007. I mean, sometimes power cords have problems.
Anyway, PDP is loosing the battle with LCD and LCD is the standard now.
Also note, Sony product and Samsung product use the same LCD panel (made by Samsung). All-in-all buying some no-name brand is also a good option, as long as tech specs are OK.
But, in general: Sharp #1 and Samsung/LG are comparable. Some people put Samsung before LG and some LG before Samsung.... |

Website (portal) for price comparisons for product and finding the cheapest store is:
http://www.danawa.com/
Very popular for electronics shopers - so you can get bearings about the price there. |

Thanks for the contributions. Sorry I couldn't reply sooner but my connection at home dropped. I'll definitely be getting an LCD next month, 32 inch or smaller. |
