Description:
Korea Nazarene University is an accredited private Christian liberal arts university within the Church of the Nazarene. Korea Nazarene University is one of 57 educational institutions within the Church of the Nazarene. KNU will hire six conversational English professors who will serve students spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually. We especially have a heart for handicapped students. for 2007. But only for 2007. Professors will native English speakers to teach within the required English department. A master's degree is required.

Salary (2,000,000 won for master's degree, 2,400,000 for doctoral degree),
housing, and one round trip airfare will be provided. The contract is for two years.
As far as vacation time and extra responsibilities, you will be granted two weeks of vacation for each break during the first year and then four weeks after the initial year. Each professor needs to assist in our English winter and summer camps( two weeks each ) for elementary, middle school students. Extra pay will be given.
Couples with no kids or singles preferred.

Because teachers already in Korea wouldn't dare take this fake job and they are looking for desparate teachers from China.

I actually have a few good friends who work at that university and it isn't as bad as it sounds. When I saw the advertisement, I wondered how they made a decent job sound so bad! Some of the people at that uni have been there for 5 or 10 years so that says something.

In reality, most of the professors get at least a month off in winter and in summer. Most of them get closer to 2 months off.

As far as I know, everyone signs a one-year contract. Maybe it is changing.

Weird! I feel confused about the whole thing.

I know about that place.
It's not as bad as it sounds. The vacations are minimum weeks. They get a lot more than that. At least from what the guy I met said.

whine all you want...it's way better than a hakwon.
