I'm in the process of applying for a public school job from home. I have a notarised copy of my degree that I used when I got my first E2 in 2005. The guy I've been talking to seems to think that this won't work any more cos of some crackdown. Truth or fiction??
I'm thinking that if I send my original diploma to SMOE they'll take care of it and will give it back cos it's a government body, not some shady hagwon. Am I being naive?

Go to the web site for your Consulate. In the States, a notarized copy and the consulate seal are both required.

Sent my original and got it back; although a different province. You may not have it returned in the same condition; Korean handling.

If it's notarized by a Korean consulate, it's fine. That's what I've been using and no one has complained.
