29 seconds of patheticness, watch and cringe: http://youtube.com/watch?v=tI7sZK-zg9g

"Any questions?" said the little tart.

Sure, I got questions, luvvie...."may I have that frying pan for a moment?" chief amongst them.

Others.....what is the scientific justification for advocating that heroin's effect on the brain is metaphorically akin to an egg being smashed by a frying pan? This is not the view of people who have studied the substance in great detail.

What medical evidence is the view that heroin is destructive to the body based on? Actual, factual medical information says that whilst heroin has adverse side effects, it clearly does not cause permanent brain or tissue damage of any kind whatsoever, unlike alcohol and tobaco.

Why does the ad go for good, old-fashioned shock tactics, when it's obvious that 30 years of shock tactics, warning people not to touch the stuff, has coincided with this substance's popularity soaring?

instead of using this kind of corny approach using actresses and fiction, why don't you use something involving real life, real people, real cases? Compare that dross to anti-smoking ads like this and this. These anti-smoking ads hard-hitting and real....see how they're just ONE MILLION times more scary than your whiny, gothy teenage actress who doesn't know heroin from heroine? There is evidence that these anti-smoking ads actually succeed in making people quit. Why not find some real evidence out there of real smashed brains, real mangled bodies, due to heroin-use? Well okay, forget the fried brains - you won't find any of those. But there are plenty of dead bodies, plenty of lives destroyed by the Big H. Use these things instead of fiction.

Why do we exaggerate how bad drugs are? Let's look at the difference in public perception of heroin and morphine. The former strikes terror into the hearts of grown adults. Morphine by contrast is percieved as an essential painkiller. Most people aren't even aware of Morphine's euphoric effects on the brain. People do not smuggle in illegal morphine and it is not popularly sold on the streets. That's because it's not billed as bad, dangerous, wrong and immediately (therefore) mysterious and attractive. Heroin should be billed like morphine - an analgesic and sedative with a medical role in many countries, and poisonous and fatal in excessive doses. Assuming prohibition of heroin is going to continue for some time, perhaps forever, this change of approach might reduce the amount of curious first-time punters, in search of the ultimate hit, that profound other-worldly experience of escapism that humans naturally seem to seek.

Sorry, Spin. That's Rachel Leigh Cook; you are defeated in your attempts at logical argument by her hotness factor.

Spinoza, what is it with you and heroin?

Marijauna I could see.

But heroin? I've got news! Heroin is bad.

It's highly addictive and can kill you.

It ruins lives.

I hope you're not a junkie.

We need more people using heroin.
And morphine.

Are there people on here who are not single-issue activists?
