| I found the tortilla factory in Incheon today. They even sell cheese there. Unfortunately, it's in 2.5 kg chunks. Actually, I believe it's a shredded mozeralla-cheddar mix. But still. 2.5 kg!?! OMG. Who can eat 2.5 kg of cheese? |
I go through about 750g of edam, 200g of feta and brie and about 100g of parmesan every week, and that's just by myself. 2.5kg isn't that much to deal with. |
If I had some variety, it would probably be easier. I think (I didn't get to see the cheese itself, as it is sold out of an office) it's a shredded mix. So sandwiches would be more or less out. But I guess I could still use it to make pizzas, quesadillas, and omelets. |

I've been drivin' about Korea for 2 weeks now and notice there isn't much roadkill (compared to Central Florida).
Not sure whether to be relieved or saddened....

Are you in Incheon? It's about a 10-15 minute walk from Dong-mak station (furthest south on the Incheon line).
The map can be found here: http://www.nhtortilla.co.kr/html/com_04.html
You have to go up to the office on the 2nd floor. Green 10" tortillas are on sale - 2 packs of 12 each for W9,000. Other prices can be found here:
http://www.nhtortilla.co.kr/html/order.html
They also take on-line orders, but I don't see the cheese listed. |

Thanks huffster. I'm definitely going to give that place a visit.
Now, anyone know where to score garbanzo beans? |

Yes. They often go under the name Chickpeas and can be found in the canned foods section in import groceries like Shinsegae, and are surely on the shelves of the middle-eastern shops in Itaewon.
Now, can we please get back to discussing Princess's ongoing war against man's oldest enemy, The Sun (or was it over-priced handmade sweaters?) |

Thanks man. Now I have a massive bag of shredded cheddar cheese in my fridge. That's a lot of friggin' cheese.
I also have hard corn tortillas. |

Do you have a toaster oven? A toaster oven is the most important thing for getting through large amounts of cheese quickly. |

I have a little toaster over under my stove burners. I cooked a small frozen pizza in it once and charred the pizza. What are we talking here? Sandwich melts? Mini-pizzas? Enchiladas? |

Sandwich melts is what I'd be looking at, although here we call it "cheese on toast". Even just melting the grated cheese on a piece of bread in the process of making a conventional sandwich is pimpstyle. Mini-pizzas and enchiladas I'm thinking you'd need an oven to get things really cooking.
How about cheese sauce for pasta? Make a roux + cheese and whatever else. Can't go wrong. |

Okay, that's a good start. I'll try some tuna melts tonight. |
