| I remember visiting London for the first time. I was standing outside my favorite pie shop(eating a pie) when a middle-aged bum walked up to me and asked for 10 P. He reckoned his truck(???) had broken down. Denied him 10 P but gave him half of my pie instead. In hindsight I should've offered him a push(his truck). |

A few years back some dude tried to smuggle stuff through customs in a case with lead lining in an attempt to foil the airport xray security system.
Of course they got caught.
On the 6, the airport security staff were reported to be puzzled as to where the wannabe smugglers had "learnt" their science facts. |

The Dutch have too many names. The Netherlands, Holland, Dutch. Where do these people get off? |

Here's a hoax that Dan Brown seems to have fallen for. Perhaps he didn't fall for it, and wrote the Da Vinci Code just because he liked the idea. Millions of people (perhaps including yourself) have helped to propogate this venerable old hoax and make him megabucks.

Right, and Wikipedia is always completely accurate. With the hatred of the Da Vinci code by certain elements of God Incorporated, it isn't suprising that there would be efforts to debase the P.S.
Those same elements would deny the inquisition ever occurred or that the Templars are a myth.
The Catholic Church is the biggest hoax. Very little to do with Christianity, all about social control and economic strength.
I think one of the biggest hoaxes is that stupid Shroud of Turin. Or the statues of Jesus that allegedly shed blood or tears. Strangely, they're usually always in latin-american countries. I guess miracles are limited to the Spanish-speaking world. |

The way you do it is have lead only on one side of a briefcase. You put the items between the lead and the outer wall of the briefcase. You then put the briefcase lead side down on the conveyer belt. Be sure there are normal items in the briefcase. When the tech looks at the xray screen, they'll see the normal items and of course the lead sheilds the contraband.
The morons that get caught (or perhaps smuggle in the first place) are using lead around the entire case and then it's opaque in the x-ray.
Obviously the preceding is for informational purposes only. That method works, but now there are more advanced methods. Don't try it, then complain to me from jail! |

This isn't about Wikipedia. There are tons of websites claiming that the Priory of Scion is absolutely true, but few of the links actually worked when I googled it. If you would rather not get your information from Wikipedia, then here are some other sources you might be interested in:

If the PS were real, do you think they would want everyone to believe it? There's something to be said about misinformation. The Navy's SEAL Team Six "didn't exist" for almost the first 10 years of its existence. You'd hear rumours, but then you'd research them and they come up empty. However, they DID exist, along with many other, more secret groups. I would think that a group as old as the PS would be able to keep their presence hidden if they so choose.
The fact that it's on this thread as a "hoax" is my area of dispute. The facts are that no one can be sure of the existence of certain societies. So to claim it's a "hoax" is to establish concrete proof of it being such. There is no concrete proof and therefore it can't be concluded.
The Korean fan-death myth on the other hand.. That's just crazy talk! |
