I saw a version of Castaway where Hank heads back up the grael road to woman in the pick-up. I love happy endings!

The Forgotten starring Julianne Moore - absolutely awful ending!

Men in Black II just stops, that's it, ends... Did their budget get axed?

Face Off

Pretty cool concept and story line. Love the part where the little kid is wearing headphones listening to classical music as the FBI bust in shooting.

Builds to a pretty cool climax as Archer approaches the church - suspense builds, golden light as he approaches, doves fly off, perfect scene for final showdown as the arch enemies meet. Castor turns, guns drawn, they face off.......

But wait........no, shite, theres still 15 MINUTES TO GO. I know lets have a BOAT CHASE!!! Yeah! We could have that stunt where a speed boat goes right through another wooden boat - a exploding wooden boat filled with petrol. Yeah, and then after the chase what better than the baddie being nailed with wait....a speargun!! Dude..sweet

Way to kill a movie John Woo

I totally agree about Face-Off and the tacked-on speed-boat chase. It's like they had a few dozen grand left in the budget and felt obligated to spend it. In fact, I haven't read this thread at all because I don't want to ruin any future movie experiences, but when I saw something to do with "needless boat chase," I knew immediately which movie was being discussed.

My Worst Movie Ending was an epic Japanese film about two opposing kings. They spill each other's blood for two hours, strut about looking majestic, and finally, the narrator explains....

...it was a tie.

I just about threw the remote through the screen as I jumped up and down yelling about those wasted hours of my life.

It's between "Sliver", where Sharon Stone turns to the fourth wall and presses a TV remote and spouts out "Get a life" to one of the less-talented Baldwins, who's killed a bunch of people in the movie...

...and the American re-make of "The Vanishing", which has a happy ending.

Good Will Hunting. "I have to see about a girl"??? Jeebus!

EDIT: No, wait... Dead Poets Society... "Oh Captain, My Captain" as they all stand on the desks.... Rolling Eyes yeah, like they're not gonna get their backsides tanned when they sit the hell down (all except that red headed kid who stayed sat)

This was truly evil on Verhoeven's part.

Either Crash, where the sexist, bigoted cop is redeemed by saving the black woman he fondled earlier from her burnng SUV while, across town, a Hispanic guy just walks away after the cheated Arab empties a gun full of blanks on him and his daughter.

or V for Vendetta where, among the other things like a mock prison camp that Mr. Mask has in his bat cave, he also has a secret tube line running under Parliament that no one knew was there so that he could fill it full of explosives and blow up the government. If he had it, why didn't he just do that at the start of the movie? It would've made an outstanding short film.

I voted for the Ewoks.

"world trade center"

I hated that movie. It was a tragic event, and in the end and throughout the entire movie they concentrate on the survivors. At the end it seems people are so freakin relieved that 2 people survived they forgot about the thousands that died.

Stupid.

Worst movie ending bar NONE: The Abyss. The movie could have been the 90's answer to 2001 A Space Odyssey but its totally wrecked with an ending that could have come out of Peter Pan or A Never-Ending Story.
