haha oh man I had an incident last semester where i slept through getting about 10 bites on my face. Great the next day I got... teacher teacher face? and what's wrong with your face?? pimple?? nooo kiddies mosquito you know buzz buzz??
that was just swell. I got asked it by EVERYONE. very annoying
so then I started to sleep with mosquito repellent on my pillow ,face and everything else. I felt like i was camping.
there are also things you can plug into the wall to ward of mostquitos but i hear they don't work...
so in a way, i guess i have no advice for you
sorry! good luck |

First and most important thing you need to do is plug up every little crack and hole they can come in through. This includes nets over air vents near burners, etc. They love those. You should also buy foam weather stripping for your door cracks.
Koreans sell those mosquito burner things that put out a chemical smell. THey say they keep mosquitos away, but I'm not so sure. They do give you weird dreams, though. Not sure how healthy they are. I'm a bit scared of them, myself.
Next thing you need is a can of mosquito spray, and keep it handy by the bed. I lock down my apartment so none can get in at night, then go on a mosquito hunt before sleeping. I try to kill them all, or the buggers WILL bite you in your sleep. You can also buy a mosquito net for over your bed. |

| A small electric zapper is effective not only for 모기비비규 but as a nightlight and perfect for those who like to be lulled to sleep by the sound of small electric pops. |

I don't know why, but this almost made me laugh out loud. I just pictured them on little spits.
Really, just try to make sure you keep your windows and door closed. I haven't found a great rememdy for them.
Personally, Korean mosquitoes don't bother me, where as American ones eat me alive. Opposite for my husband. He gets destroyed here. |

| The plug in things (sold in blue boxes everywhere) work really well for me. Just make sure to get them running at least 30 minutes before bed time. |

The bug zapper is the best thing in terms of killing them. That combined with bug spray. The mosquitoes drive me batty, especially during the summer.
Bug zappers are about 50-70,000 won and probably won't be on sale until closer to summer (maybe in April or May). You might try an online mall through if you want one before then. |

| Repel Lemon Eucalyptus works well for me. The CDC recommends it (against West Nile). I don't know if it's available in the Korea but since I can't use the coils or insecticide sprays (asthma), I'll be having some sent over from home. |

You can find OFF here in Seoul. It's not really good for your health because of the chemicals in it and I find it actually makes my skin burn a bit. Usually you can only find it April-September, but there is a store close to my house in Incheon that sells it year around. If anyone is desperate for it, I'll give you directions. |

I heard that lemon scented washing up liquid ia a bowl of boiling water works just as well.
Personally I've found the blue plug-in lquid stuff does wonders. |
