I've only seen them in Hannam Market, and they were about $12 for a box.
Alternatively if you're looking for Rice Krispie treats, you can get a box of them , pre-made(Kellogs name brand) at Costco for about $10. |

I live in a small town of well under 50,000 and the local store carries a Korean equivalent in a brown coloured box
I was pleasantly surprised to discover it when I bought it for a change |

Yeah, the local equivalent can be had at either of the Homeplus stores or Homever in Cheongju. The former two are in Yulyang and Kagyong dongs, and the latter in Shinae (downtown). You could also try Emart in Bumpyong dong or Lotte Mart in Yongam dong. Hope this helps. |

Thanks for all the info., I will have another look. The master plan is to actually bake up some rice krispy squares. Its been too long since I sunk my teeth into one...... |

Better than those insipid Rice Krispie bars - Scotcheroos!
6 cups Rice Krispies
1 cup Karo syrup (light)
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 bag chocolate chips (12 oz)
1 bag butterscotch chips
Melt the Karo and sugar together until the sugar dissolves. Stir in the peanut butterwhile still over the heat. Add the 6 cups of rice krispies. Pour/press (it's thick)this mixture into a 13 inch by 9 inch buttered pan. Ice the mixturewith a combination of the melted chips. Chill until firm.
Yeah, you'll have to look for more stuff, and maybe go with two bags of chocolate chips for the icing if you can't find butterscotch chips. But these are so much more satisfying than that marshmallow nonsense. |

If they're not at the HomePlus or the Homever in Cheong-ju, you're probably out of luck. The only other place I can think of is that Lotte Mart (or what ever it's called) that's connected to the main bus terminal. |

What you are making here is Corn Flake Squares, a commendable alternative albeit.... |
