Canon EOS 20D
8.2MP Digital Camera 18-55mm Lens + 2 batteries + 1gig high speed sandisk memory card + filters

This is a re-post. Haters and people not interested in buying the camera, keep your sh*t to yourself. I know what the value of this camera is and people who are looking for a high end camera like this are already quite knowledgeable without your help thank you...

The camera is the perfect SLR for advanced amateurs and professionals. Has a high 8.2MP resolution, 5 frames-per-second continuous shooting capability and a lightning-fast 0.2 second start-up time, the EOS 20D is designed to capture detail and colors, perfectly exposed images at high ISO's. The camera has a high quality feel to it. It is substantial and solid. I don't think the same could be said about it's lower end brethren and its plasticky Nikon rivals.

The camera is in superb and mint condition. Like brand new. There are LCD protectors on to prevent any scratches. It is about a year and a half old. Very fast camera and has excellent performance and fantastic for night photography. You can see for yourself. I have some non-edited shots I have personally taken with the camera in the link below.

In case you are lazy and don't want to do your homework. This camera is easily going over 1,000,000 at Yongsan and Nambu Electronics Market. Danawa is listing this camera for 949,000 won REFERBISHED and my asking price is quite competitive with current ebay prices:

I hate to see it go, but I don`t use it enough to justify having such a high end camera. The price is 800,000W and it comes with all the accessories that you need to start shooting right out of the box. I am located in Kangnam, Seoul. Email me at [email protected] .

Hold the phone!!!!

I know you didn't just bag on Nikon. Canon is a good brand, I own two. But I would say that Nikon is of equal if not better quality.

Canon makes great glass, with high contrast and resolution.

I have used a pro Nikon digital with an ED lens and processed photos from professional Canons, and the Nikon was surprisingly dull compared to the Canons. Heck, it was dull compared to my pocket digital cameras.

There are plenty of press photographers who have switched to Canons. I, an editor, was using the Nikon that the paper had bought because the photographer refused to use it, and bought a Canon, instead.

But there are other factors to consider when choosing a digital slr, such as speed and accuracy of focusing, and how easy it is to use the menus and controls. So it is nice to actually try using the camera first.

I never could memorize the 120 pages of instructions for the Nikon, so I left it in P. The managing editor never made it past page 1, I think, and sometimes come back with screwed up photos and strange text in the display and tried to blame me for changing the settings. So after awhile, I simply refused to use it at all, and used my own cameras.

And then there were the reporters, one of whom refused to believe the A did not stand for "auto," when it in fact stood for "aperture priority" and kept coming back with ghostlike photos exposed for two seconds or so. The other reporter seems to have dropped it, which was a pretty good idea. Don't get me started about newspapers. And publishers wonder why people aren't reading them anymore.

haha... sorry. i couldn't resist to give nikon a little shot there. Laughing
i would have to agree that both performances of a nikon D70/D80 are similar or equal to the canons. the comment was my opinion about the "feel" of the cameras. its tough to try to explain such a subjective thing like the quality. but let me put it this way the nikon's use plastic for its construction. and the canon 20D uses a rugged magnesium alloy body. this was one of the biggest deciding factors in my purchase over a nikon. for me, this sturdiness is comforting psychologically and i feel like it gives me a steadier handheld shot (yes i know..im crazy). i also look at cameras as an investment. if you also look at resale values, canons usually tend to hold onto their value a little better too comparitively with the D70 and/or D80.

yeah.. extremely good price for only one for the parties involved... Rolling Eyes
good luck in your search for ur camera Martinc. but 5.5 will get something in canon 350d or nikon d70 range and maaaaybe a lens. so maybe you should lower your expectations kid...

and Hepcat.. thanx for your contribution.. but i already put a danawa link up to help ppl out. if you are tryin to imply my price are too high.. just say so. i don't particularly feel the need to justify my askin price with someone who isn't interested in my camera, but don't mislead others. u have to take into account that my camera comes with a lens, and accessories. some of those prices listed are just for the body.

Can't blame the camera for an incompetent photographer. Nikon, Canon, Fuji, or Pentax, you must know your camera to produce quality photo. A great photographer can produce a quality picture with a cardboard box and a magnifying glass. I can't bag on Canon, they are great cameras.

That might not work if you are a newspaper photographer doing action shots, or even taking pictures of a city council meeting.

But it might do for some school board meetings I've been to.

ahh the dumbass nikon/canon debate.

i own a nikon D200 but i agree that canon are good product. just depends on your needs and preferences. anyone who flat out says one brand is bad is an ignorant moron.

i know my cameras and i'm going to side with the seller ... 550,000 is not a fair price.

a few points about the camera though. year and a half is not too old for a 20D. but it'd be nice to know how many shutter actuations you've made. the internal mechanism is rated to last a specific number of 'clicks' ... that info is available in your exif, btw.

what are your filters? if you're talking about a $5 uv filter, then it's not worth mentioning. if you're talking about ND or polarising filters, then a good one is worth a reasonable amount of money, and therefore it's nice that you've included one.

your lens is crap. body is good, but anyone who's serious about photography would have upgraded that slow ass lens.

1 gig of memory is prehistoric. you'd probably only get 70 or so raw files out of that. i use 4 gig in my D200 and i have 2 x 2 gig backups for when i travel ... shooting raw really chews up the memory. my camera is 10.6mp and my raw files are 15mb each.

last point is that we're in KOREA ... and this is pretty much canon country. therefore old canons do have a high resale value. if the camera was purchased in korea legitimately (jongpoom) then it's actually a little more expensive ($100 or so) than the cameras that are imported illegally from hong kong (naesu) ... canon korea can verify if the camera was bought in korea via the serial number. even if it's out of warranty, they'll do firmware upgrades and clean your sensor for free. if you bought an illegal import (which are extremely common) then you won't get any help from canon korea.

imo ... depending on the filters and whether the camera is a legitimate korean import, i guess that maybe the seller would be prepared to accept 750,000 for the camera (700k at the outside lowest) ... if you're able to offer cash and haggle him a little.

but since a 20D is a very decent camera, i wouldn't go any lower.

What happened to my reply? Did a moderator delete it? Why?

Anyway, I'll give you 600,000 for it. That's 50,000 extra than your other offer. Very Happy

I was trying to be polite.

You know there are other camera makers out there.

Fuji actually has a history of making better lenses than either Nikon or Canon. Their professional wideangle 2 1/4 cameras were phenomenally high resolution. And their digital cameras generally outrank both of these competitors in tests.

But from what little I have seen, the Fuji digitals have not caught on with professionals, who need more than just a camera; they need a whole system that they are going to stick with for decades. That's why pros generally stick with either Nikon or Canon. The big advantage of Nikons in the film days were their backward compatibility and sturdiness; that's why so many pros stuck with the brand.

Canon and Fuji use a similar type of more expensive glass, which accounts for their superior clarity and resolution.

This Canon 20D is definitely capable of producing professional results. And when professionals get a camera like this, they do not upgrade every few years.

hey mate ... my comment wasn't aimed at you specifically ... i just get sick of hearing this brand name fighting. it's a bunch of bollocks!

i agree that other makers are doing good work. sonys new cameras look good and fuji are making their own version of the D200 with a nikon mount, which is pretty sweet for people who want to be able to use nikon lenses.

it's just stupid to say that one brand is categorically the best. Smile
