Here's a story I'll bet they didn't cover on Arirang TV:

Last December, at the annual conference of the European Society for Sexual Medicine in Vienna, Austria, a report was issued based on a 14 nation study involving more than 14,000 participants. The study included surveys and focus group interviews.
The study found that Korean women had the highest sexual awareness, especially in the 35-55 age group. More than 94% indicated that sex was or should be an important part of their lives (compared with the international average of 76%). Moreover, 64% of Korean women past the age of 40 were identified as vitalsexual, as compared with the next highest, Venezuela, at 48%. Women from the U.K. scored among the lowest at 33%.
Korean men produced no corresponding numbers. Only 26% in a report released this month were identified as vitalsexual (compared to the international average of 43%), by far the lowest in the 12 nations of this gender survey. While Korean men regarded their sex life as just as important as other men in the sampling, they also ranked lowest in terms of showing consideration toward their sexual partners. |

Sex has been an important part of the economic lives of Korean women for as long as norebangs and the like have thrived in industrial times.
No surprise there.
Hopefully younger Korean women are finding alternative means of employment as they certainly have more ambitions these days, or so I've been told by Korean young adult students themselves. |

The rest of the Korean men are either celibate, or paying for sex at room salons, barber shops, Norae-bangs or oh-pal-pal (when they're not playing starcraft). |

| Well if you want to get laid on a regular sexual basis in Korea, look for women between 30-40. Over 40 is too old for me but maybe for others it would be a good idea. |

| The problem is that with all the sexual repression in korea, it makes people more unstable the older they get. The girls start out all prissy but then after 30 they become a furnace of passion. Most likely because they were good little korean girls until they got married and realized that waiting for that time was a waste of time, so now they have some catching up to do. |

| I have to be very careful of who I smile back at in my small town. Chances are she's the mother of one of my students. I have noticed since last fall that a whole lot more women are paying attention to me. I have no idea why. Since last summer, I have less hair, more fat, and I sure as hell ain't gettin' any prettier. |

| Yeah, it's confusing, ain't it? Sometimes it seems like you can date just about anybody. The reality is, though, that you can get a lot of dates just because of the "curiousity factor," however it becomes quite a bit more difficult finding out who is truly interested in you for you. |

| hey poet 13. You'd be surprised. It seems the uglier you get the more chance you have to score. Korean women like chubby foreigners because of their 'teddy bear' persona. As well, go to any club and it's the ugly dudes with the best looking women. |

Two things...
1. Does it account for gay sex? Cause I live above one love motel and below another, and in 6 months in the building I've seen 3 hetero couples in the elevator. I've seen Dozens, upon dozens of 'men' leave the floor together, though.
2. Having been to a gym and seen how small korean peckers are, if I were a woman I'd have to sleep with just about everything that walked in order to feel sexually satisfied... That might explain the numbers... |
