I think he might be on something.
And a side question for those ESL teachers with heavy facial tattoos: Do you find it more or less easy to pick-up chicks/guys now that you've colored your face? |

FUN indeed! I know it doesn't mean fun in the traditional sense. |

It's illegal here. Better off going to japan, where there's about a million supremely talented artists, quill or gun, and it's not all sketchy and backwoods like I'd imagine an under the table shop here in Korea would be.
The only one I heard about here who was willing to work on strangers was wildly expensive, and the single tattoo I'd seen from that 'studio' was pretty generic and lame.
I'm pretty sure all the stuff I've seen Koreans with was done in Japan, the States, or the Phillipines. No doubt there are some talented people doing tattoos here, hiding out somewhere, but the Japanese are close, cooler, and legal. |

| I thought it was recently legalized? Anyhow, a few months ago I was perusing though the cocofun magazine that you can get on the streets, and I saw a tattoo parlour advertising in there. I believe the directions were from Yeoksam station. Not sure where it is, and I'm back in Canada at the moment so I can't grab that cocofun and check. I'm sure someone could find it though. |

With a little bit of work, it's easy to find legal tatoo places.

If so, it's news to me. A few months ago they realised that, because tattoos are illegal because the needle pierces the skin, they need to ban piercing too. You can always ask the police snitch board.

Oh--I didn't realize the law had been changed. My info comes from a doctor I was teaching a while back, but I certainly haven't checked lately.
Still, I'd sooner go and get a traditional style quill tattoo done in Japan, personally. I'd pay through the nose for something really good, and I'm curious about the techniques they use. |

Amusing antics from the ornate tattoosie 'pea-headed' gang. I bet, though, if you took a simple can-opener to their heads--opened them up to have a peek inside--you'd find a lot of little *beep* heads and vaginas floating about. And, amazingly, each one with a little tiny tattoo!
Teens come in all shapes and flavours these days...from wanna-be Americans wearing the stars and stripes and dollar signs on their big backsides--to low-life Canucks who walk the late-night Itaewon beat in Seoul, looking for stray cigerette butts that still smolder along the sidewalks in VIP alley.
Picasso completed over 20,000 works of art and--not once--did he entertain his imagination: by placing an image on his own body or piercing his head with a witches broomstick. Yet, his 'tattoos' exist in everyones mind. Mind you, he was a 'primative' enfante terrible; but not a dim-wit. |

I'm not ready to believe tattoos suddenly became legal. |
