Toilet paper is stoopidly expensive here, especially the only brand worth a damn, which would be Kleenex. All of the Korean brands I have tried have absolutely rubbed me the wrong way, in every way.

So, the other day I'm shopping at Homever and I see a new brand that looks similar to Kleenex (the pattern, anyway) and it's only W9000 as opposed to the ridiculous W15000 price of Kleenex. So I figure I might as well give it a shot. Later, I sit down on the toilet to take care of business and after the first wipe my brown starfish becomes so agitated and infuriated it actually detaches from my body and runs away down the hall. I have to chase it and catch it with a dragonfly net.

Long story short, because of that one wipe I had to have surgery to put my bunghole back into place, I now have hemorrhoids, and to top it all off I wasted W9000, and goddam I hate wasting money.

I firmly believe you could substitute any Korean product that emulates a western product and the outcome would be the same...money down the toilet. Literally.

Luckily you caught up with your "better half", so to speak [j/k]....but it is safe to say that in regards to stuff such as toilet paper (and I had the same experience in Kuwait), it is best to pay the extra few bucks (or won) for the comfort.

you got hemorrhoids from wiping with the wrong tissue?

Serioius sensitive skin. I wiped my butt with the hardest leaves you can find in nature, and apart from a little itch i did not develop anything else.

Weird!

Picj up some diaper wipes or wet ones or whatever they call 'em here. Much more gentle on the sensitive tissue.

Import bum guns from thailand and a simple T-pipe connection and you need never wipe again in your own home.

Gawd-dam I hate those "bidet" toilets. You gotta carry around a special towel or hair dryer just to dry your ass and package and by that time what the hell is the point?

Is there a Korean brand that is soft but not scented? (Yes, I sniffed all the packages at the store...)

I remember driving to work and listening to Howard Stern. He was talking about his obsessive-compulsive behavior and how he would often wipe his a$$ too many times. He also said he had made changes in his life to get over this affliction.

His advice was to never wipe more than three times.
